    Event details

Children's Literature Festival (CLF) is a social movement that was founded in response to low learning levels and disinterest in reading and critical thinking amongst school children. By remaining a non-ticketed event, CLF has established itself as an Equalizer in providing children and teachers from ALL schooling systems with a platform to explore imagination beyond textbooks. Till date, 43 Children's Literature Festivals have been held across the country, reaching over 1 million children and teachers across Pakistan including remote geographies.

This year, the Walled City of Lahore Authority and CLF will be jointly hosting the first CLF to be conducted within the culturally rich area of the Walled City of Lahore from the 12th-14th of January, 2018.

The overarching theme of the child-centered festival is Celebrating Peace, Heritage and 70 Years of Pakistan: Opening the gates of the Walled City, Lahore. CLF hopes to build interest in reading and critical thinking in an interactive and fun environment. By situating the festival in the Walled City, CLF aims to discover and encourage young talent from the area and beyond.

We look forward to seeing you and your families at the event. Please contact either of the hosts incase of any queries, and do help spread the word about the event using the hashtag #CLFLahore!
